NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course is for beginning and intermediate students to learn the basics of pistol safety and handling from local qualified instructors. The classroom is located in the basement of the Mid Columbia Senior Center, 1112 W 9th St, The Dalles, OR. All shooting for the class is conducted at the Indoor Range of The Dalles Rifle & Pistol Club. Students will be required to certify their legal eligibility and sign a Firearm Release Form. Students must attend all four sessions to complete the course (emergency situations will be considered.) Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion, which is required to apply for an Oregon Concealed Handgun License. No discounts or waivers.
